on the Great WallI must say we had an excellent holiday. We were met everywhere we went and our guides were charming. Couldn't do enough for us and were well informed. Joy in Beijing was an absolute delight. She made our stay there something to remember and was always thoughtful and caring. There were tears at the airport when we left. She made our stay memorable and interesting. Freeman in Xian was also wonderful. We found the trip fulfilling to say the least. The trip down the Yangtze was fantastic, a much needed reprieve after an exhausting week. Our hotels were good. The Anting Villa in Shanghai will become our stop off when we go there on business. Bruce goes over there about every six weeks and he was impressed. We all agreed that Chinahighlights did an excellent job on our itinerary and provided us with an excellent service. Dear Cheryl,

we are safely back to Italy and we are very very satisfied with our visit to China. We enjoyed every single moment of our trip and we want to thank you very much for organizing things so well and for being so prompt to make a change the only moment we felt necessary to make a change in our program. All hotels were very good, rooms large and nice. At the Bravo Hotel in Guilin, they were particularly nice and changed our room to a non smoking quieter room than the one they had given us in the front street. All transfers were absolutely perfect. We always found the guides with sign with our names clearly displayed waiting for us at arrival , all drivers were very nice, cars perfectly clean and comfortable. Carla and I want to signal as particularly good the guides we had in Suzhou: Susan and in Chengdu: Java; our Tibetan guide, Passang, although not perfect in English was extremely kind and took good care of us as persons when we were altitude sick, providing medicines, checking our ...more

The best thing about the trip was.... everything. There was nothing I could complain about. The assistance through China Highlights was superior. My recommendations for other travelers is to definitely have a guide. It makes it so much more relaxing and interesting. Thank you for all your wonderful assistance Candy.
