David,
Here a a few pictures for you. I will write to you in more detail and tell you how I enjoyed my China trip. It all worked very well, thanks to you. China is a facinating country. And thanks for the dinner with you and Wendy and Nini. Thanks again and I value your friendship.

David,

A few more pictures of my trip to China. Hope there aren't too many.

I really enjoyed my visit, and thank you for making all the arrangements, which worked very well. It was nice to be met and looked after so well. Your guides were very good, particularly Lola, who I mostly called Wei. Of course she was the guide who I spent the most time with and I enjoyed her company too. Please thank her for me. Guilin is a very picturesque city, I could have spent more time there. The hotels were great, 3 star is all I ever want.

The cruise was marvellous, I was quite facinated with China, particularly the Yangtze, I couldn't take my eyes off all the activity on the river, ...more

Dear Jean
I'm writing to thank you and China Highlights for arranging our visit to Xian and cruise on the Yangtze. All the arrangements, flights and tours went smoothly. We want to thank Cindy, our guide in Xian and our driver for making our visit so interesting and enjoyable, and specially thank Cindy for suggesting a detour to the Han Yang Ling museum on our way to the airport. It's almost as good as Qin's Terracotta Army but not well known. I've posted a review on the Trip Advisor web site which I hope will attract more visitors. http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g608464-d674500-r21366405-Han_Yang_Ling_Museum-Xianyang_Shaanxi.html. China Highlights could also try promoting it more. Our only disappointment was our choice of MV Emperor for the Yangtze cruise. Although the trip was interesting and quite comfortable, and the ship staff were excellent, we do not think that the Emperor should be advertised or priced as "5 star". The ship itself is not in good ...more

Just like to say thank you Rebecca for all your help with our recent stay and tour of Xian. Everything was fantastic. From the beginning of contacting you with all the organisation, and then eventually we arrived, and our Guide – Helen and our driver were all fantastic. We had a wonderful visit to Xian and all of the 3 of you help make it so.
Thank you again Kathryn Lindsay

Dear Hu,
The Great Wall of China, as photos cannot capture its grandeur, its steepness or what lengths people would go to to protect their land. I only had 1 guide - Jeff and he was fabulous. He made my trip from great to fantastic. Jeff was very informative, accommodating, knowledgeable, had great communication skills and could really relate to me. Jeff ensured all my requests were accommodated, he really looked after me like a friend rather than a paid guide. Without him my time in Beijing would not have been as wonderful. I only stayed in 1 hotel and it met all my expectations and breakfast was great. I had only 1 lunch, whist the food was tasty and the service friendly, many of the plates and cups were chipped. Definitely, Michael was great organiser and everything worked out very well. I think the tour of old Beijing should be recommended to travellers. It provides an insight as to how others live.

Dear Grace,

We all had an absolutely wonderful time with Doris at Yellow Mountain. Please thank her again on our behalf.I will send to you a two pictures taken during our trip in another email. After our time with Doris we flew to Beijing and then joined another tour organised by an Australian company. This tour was also good although both Steve and I commented on how wonderful it was to experience a tour which was totally Chinese as we did with your company. Our Australian tour was with 4 Australian families and hence, much more western. Whilst our tour guide for this second trip was Chinese she did not know nearly as much about the Chinese culture, language and history as Doris did. Our two sons, Nicholas and Peter, along with myself, really enjoyed learning Mandarin from Doris - she taught us to count to 5 which was a considerabel achievement given we had no idea how to use our toungue to make the sounds.

Finally - I am sorry we both were not fully well. I had collected an upset stomach ...more
